We have the following position open:

MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST/FAMILY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR: Position provides community-based screening, assessment and case management services to adults, children, and adolescents with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Families served are in the initial stages of involvement with child welfare services, DHS Children Adults, and Families. Duties include screening for mental health and substance abuse disorders for adults, children, and adolescents, conducting brief assessments, and providing information, referral, and follow-up services to ensure that family members have needed health, mental health, and substance abuse treatment services. Client rapport-building and engagement strategies are vital to the success of the project. Frequent and on-going collaboration with child welfare supervisors, caseworkers, and resource staff is essential. The position is assigned to the Alberta DHS Child Welfare Branch Office. The majority of services are provided in home and community settings as a part of a child abuse investigation process. Some services may be provided at the DHS Branch Office.

Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related mental health field required. Minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience providing mental health or counseling services to both adults and children and adolescents required. Must be able to meet dual QMHP requirements set forth in Oregon Administrative Rules for the delivery of mental health services to adults and for the delivery of mental health services to children and adolescents. Demonstrated experience with African American and Native American families required.

Licensure preferred, but not required. CADC I certification preferred, but not required.
