Call for Submissions - Environmental Writing and Art

Hello! MOSS zine was created this year as a Community Action Project for the Northwest Service Academy (AmeriCorps, environmental education). And now, MOSS Zine is getting ready for issue #2! The first issue was a wild success with a fantastic launch party and 22 amazing submissions. The theme of this next issue is OIL, and we're seeking writers and artists to submit. For full submission guidelines, please visit: http://mosszine.com/submission-guidelines/

Here are some details:

MOSS accepts nonfiction, fiction, prose, poetry, and black-and-white artwork. The subject matter can cover everything from oil spills to Portland's oil use compared to other cities, to transportation, to biking, etc. Be creative! Send me your idea if you're not sure about it and I can help you develop it.

Being that art submissions are a new addition, we will troubleshoot and customize based on each individual piece, so be prepared for some back-and-forth emails.

Email submissions to [email protected] by Sunday, August 8 (flexible!). Release date is tentatively scheduled for early October.

Thank you for your interest! Please email ([email protected]) with any questions, and check out our website, mosszine.com.
