Volunteer to Help Homeless Cats at CAT's 5K Run!

Please join the Cat Adoption Team, the Pacific Northwest's largest non-profit no-kill feline-only shelter, for our second annual run/walk to benefit homeless cats and, of course, CAT. This event was a huge success last year and we couldn’t have done it without the help of volunteers in our community.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help out with this event which will be held, Friday, August 13th in Sherwood.

Currently we are looking for folks to help out as Course Monitors from 5pm-9pm. Course monitors help keep the event running smoothly as they are stationed all through the 5K course. Course monitors are encouraged to cheer on participants as they move through their area during this fun event!

Course Monitors will be given instructions the day of the event to provide drivers for alternate routes around the event. Report any injuries or incidents to event staff. Check on participants as they pass their area. Set out any cones or arrows as needed. Keep the walkers moving through their area - if they are at a corner, assist them in what direction they are to proceed. Cheer on all participants. Remain in position with your cones and barricades in place until instructed to open your intersection. Volunteers for this job must be able to stand for long periods (or bring a chair to sit in), problem solve, follow instructions.

I have included a few details below:

Venue: Sherwood High School 16956 SW Meinecke Rd
