Mission: The YWCA Clark County is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Programs: We serve over 11,000 people every year, including victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, homelessness, and discrimination.

Size of Organization: $3.3 million annual budget, 90+ employees, including those stationed at the domestic violence shelter and at partner organizations

Position Details: The Executive Director works at the invitation of, and in tandem with, the Board of Directors to achieve the mission and promote the core values of the YWCA Clark County. The E.D. is responsible for the overall management of the organization:

1. Working closely with board and board committee members on organizational policy, fundraising, and public policy advocacy; 2. Facilitating participatory development and implementation of strategic and annual plans; 3. Providing service leadership to, and empowering support of, staff and volunteers; 4. Ensuring sound financial and administrative management; 5. Ensuring sound program management; 6. Ensuring sound development and communications management and playing a key role in fundraising; 7. Developing and maintaining strong community relations; 8. Maintaining affiliation with the YWCA Northwest Regional Council and the YWCA USA; and 9. Supervising the Directors of (a) Finance and Administration, (b) Programs, and (c) Development and Communications, as well as (d) the Executive Assistant.

Required Skills and Abilities:1. Belief in, and ability to lead the organization in realizing, the mission and core values of the YWCA Clark County. 2. Demonstrated ability to provide service leadership and empowering support to multiple department managers at a time. 3. Track record in moving a department or organization forward in successfully accomplishing strategic goals. 4. Experience in the nonprofit sector, preferably as a paid employee vs. as a volunteer. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and community relations skills. 6. Bachelor degree, preferably in social work, human development, health, education, or business.
Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience in fundraising. 2. Experience in financial and administrative management. 3. Experience in leading social change and diversity/inclusion work. 4. Experience in providing social services. 5. Strong public speaking skills. 6. Graduate degree in public administration, social work, human development, health administration, education, or business.
