Volunteer Opportunity at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore

The Portland Metro Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a non-profit organization that resells re-usable building materials and supplies. All materials in our 20,000+ square foot warehouse are donated. Our inventory is extensive, and includes appliances, doors, windows, plumbing, electrical, all types of flooring, lumber and paint/stain. The proceeds go toward building simple, decent and affordable housing for low-income families.

The ReStore is now seeking a Customer Service Assistant from 1-5pm on Tuesday and/or 2-5pm on Wednesday afternoons. This volunteer opportunity will consist of , but is not limited to: greeting and directing customers (since the store is open to the public,) assisting with merchandising & at the register, and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the front desk area.

ReStore volunteers are expected to be courteous and professional, to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and to be good overall representatives for our organization.
