Development Assistant

Part Time, 20 hours/week, non-exempt status. The Development Assistant will support the Development Office’s fundraising and community relations activities. S/he will be primarily responsible for maintaining Neighborhood House’s donor database and will assist with key departmental activities such as producing and mailing direct mail solicitations and maintaining the agency grant-writing calendar, as well as providing general administrative support to the Development Office. Minimum two years post high-school education in communications, info systems or office automation with at least three years of responsible office work involving word processing and data entry. Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills are essential. Must have experience in non-profit fundraising and donor database software (preferably Raiser’s Edge). Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Must have valid driver’s license, be insurable by the agency and pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
