OMSI Science Days Event Volunteer- Evenings/Sunday Help Still Needed

OMSI Needs your help August 12-15th (Thursday- Sunday)!

Join the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) as a volunteer this weekend!

August 12-15, OMSI will need lots of additional help from you to host OMSI Science Days. During these days the museum will be open 9:00am-9:00pm and visitors will enjoy a variety of offerings around the museum.

This is a major special event that is expected to draw thousands of visitors each day so having additional help will be wonderful! Volunteers at this event will earn a pass for free admission to the museum on a day of their choice.

Each day (Aug 12-15) our third shift is available: Shift 3: 4:00pm-9:00pm

On Sunday August 15th all three shifts are available: Shift 1: 8:00am-1:00pm Shift 2: 12:00pm-5:00pm Shift 3: 4:00pm-9:00pm

Adult volunteers (18 and over) are needed to help with customer service in and around the lobby area. Volunteers should be comfortable interacting with the public, answering questions and using their best assertive customer service skills if needed (crowd control). It will be four packed days of putting the fun in science!

Youth volunteers (14-17) are needed as well and must be accompanied by an adult who is also volunteering.

While some positions are seated inside the building volunteers should be prepared to be outside and on their feet.
