position summary:

Full Time, 5 days 40 hrs/wk, Start 9/7/10. Min qualifications: HS diploma, 1 year experience cooking for groups and working with preschool aged children. Knowledge of CACFP guidelines is a plus.

Job duties include but are not limited to, leading the preparation of the daily breakfasts and lunches; completing accurate and detailed recipes; developing weekly food and food services supplies purchasing list; maintaining a file of all menus, food planning records, purchasing invoices, and recipes.

Knowledge of basic nutrition and good food preparation skills; good mathematical skills and basic computer skills; good organization skills; good interpersonal skills and ability to routinely lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, stoop and run after children.

Offer is contingent upon results of a post-offer health exam, including a TB test to declare free from communicable disease. As required by contract, periodic re-testing for communicable disease will be scheduled throughout employment.

Offer is also contingent upon the results of a criminal offender information record check and, possibly, fingerprinting. Must be successfully enrolled in Oregon's Child Care Criminal History Registry.
