Living Yoga Continuing Education: Mindfulness On and Off the Mat

Please join us on Sunday September 12, from 4-6 pm for Living Yoga's Continuing Education offering: Mindfulness On and Off the Mat. In this class Alice Rose will give us an overview of what mindful awareness is and how you can effectively make it part of your yoga practice and your life. Introducing mindfulness skills directly into the class format is an effective way to enhance the healing benefits of yoga. This class is appropriate for students and teachers alike.

Alice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and the founder of Wise Mind Coaching. Alice is an engaging presenter who teaches that from a foundation of acceptance, you can learn active strategies to work with challenging emotions, to manage disappointment and difficulty, and to cultivate more satisfying and harmonious relationships. This adds up to more effective problem solving, “stress-hardiness” and resilience in general. Check her out at:

Continuing Education classes are free to active Living Yoga volunteers, $15 for inactive volunteers and $25 for all others. This class qualifies for Yoga Alliance CEU's. Pre-registration is required. Call the Living Yoga office or email [email protected] Many thanks to amrita: a sanctuary for yoga for donating the classroom space for this event.

Living Yoga is a non-profit yoga outreach organization teaching yoga as a vehicle for personal transformation to people who would not otherwise have access to it. We offer class in prisons, drug & alcohol rehab centers and other transitional facilities.
