Camp Fire is looking for 2 dynamic individuals with youth development experience to compliment our Beverly Cleary Fernwood and Sunnyside Environmental after school team. The position is a part time: -Fernwood: Mon-Fri 20 hrs/wk.+ additional hours for training -Sunnyside: Mon-Thurs 18 hrs/wk + additional hours for training You will work on site to plan and lead Camp Fire programming for students in grades K-5 at Sunnyside and 2-6th at Beverly Cleary Fernwood. Morning Shifts are also available to provide you with additional opportunities for hours. Camp Fire runs a club based after school program. Responsibilities for Program Instructors include preparing and implementing daily lesson plans for each trimester, leading community circle, participating in games and recess, and providing a safe and engaging environment for program participants.

We are seeking applicants who have strong backgrounds in creative arts, active recreation and service learning, are well organized, and have a passion for making their community better. Must be competent in classroom management, and know your way around a playground. We are looking for outgoing individuals who can connect with the students, parents, and staff in a manner that furthers the sense of community that is already in place.

Qualified applicants must have at least 2 years experience working with large groups of students. A Background Check with The Oregon Child Care Division, Oregon Food Handler's card is a requirement as well as being CPR/First Aid Certified.

Salary / Pay Rate:11/ hour
Required Skills and Abilities:Additional Qualities/Experience Needed: • Ability to commit to one full school year is a must • Experience in outcomes based lesson planning and current best practices in youth development work a plus • High level of professionalism, creativity, energy and enthusiasm
