Shine Community Chidren's Chorus

Shine Community Children's Chorus is a new non-profit music education and performance program for ages 9-12 (give or take!) that specializes in contemporary, popular music. Inspired by Glee and American Idol, our repertoire consists of pop, rock, hip-hop, and alternative music that is fun to sing. At the same time, we are committed to age-appropriate and positive messages, high musical standards, and the development of creativity and leadership in each child. Shine performers learn to sing from the heart while making friends, building self-confidence, and having lots of fun!

Our mission is to provide high quality music education that is engaging and enriching for children as well as affordable for families. Tuition for the 2010-11 school year is $275 per singer, with some scholarships available. Rehearsals take place Tuesdays, 6-7 PM in SE Portland.
