Tutoring/homework and conversation partners

Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) is looking for community oriented volunteers to tutor Burmese refugees who have recently relocated to Vancouver WA. Our tutoring/ homework students are school age; they need English speaking tutors to help them with their school work.

We also need a few conversation partners to work with adult refugees who need help practicing their English speaking skills. Conversation partners and homework tutors generally volunteer a minimum of two hours per week. Times and locations of tutoring sessions are flexible. Sessions can take place at a variety of locations including the student's home, malls, libraries and other public places.
