Basic Rights Oregon seeks Marriage Equality & Trans Health interns!

This fall, Basic Rights Oregon is looking for interns to support our work for Trans Justice and Marriage Equality—and new interns can start ASAP! Take a look:

TRANS HEALTH POLICY INTERN
Basic Rights Oregon seeks to fill a Trans Health Policy Intern position beginning ASAP. Interns are welcome to work in BRO’s Portland office, but may be based anywhere in the state. We welcome large time commitments, but ask for a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

This intern will play a critical role in BRO’s work for trans justice, researching strategies, policies and decision-makers central to public and private health care in Oregon. Their research will inform Basic Rights Oregon’s work and strategy development to increase access to health care for trans communities across the state, led by the community leaders of the Trans Policy Working Group.

MARRIAGE EQUALITY ORGANIZING INTERN
Basic Rights Oregon seeks to fill a Marriage Equality Organizing Intern position beginning ASAP. Interns are welcome to work in BRO’s Portland office, but may be based anywhere in the state. We welcome large time commitments, but ask for a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week. The Marriage Equality Organizing Intern will report to the Field Manager.

This intern will take on key tasks in BRO’s historic public education campaign, taking on projects ranging from volunteer recruitment to logistical support for a rural film tour.
