position summary:

Non-profit disability law office seeks applicants for WIPA Project Coordinator. The project provides recipients of SSI/SSDI information about work incentives available when going back to work and provides outreach and training to groups. The Coordinator leads the WIPA team, provides support to other team members, and is the liaison with Social Security and community partners. The Coordinator spends an average of 25-30% of time on program coordination and administrative tasks. The remaining time is used to provide direct client services and outreach activities.

Required Skills and Abilities:understanding of the structure and design of SSI, SSDI, and other benefit programs; the ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities; good math skills, and computer literacy; excellent attention to details; good interviewing techniques and interpersonal skills; ability to interpret federal, state, and local laws and regulations about public benefits; experience as a project manager, supervisor or team leader; experience building relationships with governmental agencies and non-profit organizations; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:Candidates must have a BA or MA and must be able to pass a background check by the Social Security Administration and to successfully complete a certification program
