The French American International School seeks a systems administrator to be responsible for management and maintenance of the School’s data network. Duties include network administration, database management, application development, research, and direct technical support to faculty, staff and students. This is a .75 FTE, exempt position and comes with a competitive benefits package including employer paid health insurance.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities: Manage schoolwide database systems and applications Configure reports, exports, imports and queries in response to division and department requests. Develop custom reports using Crystal Reports Design & monitor efficient and consistent data entry standards Design and provide training to users of schoolwide database systems Keep database systems up to date with latest patches and updates as appropriate Manage and maintain all servers Manage user accounts & user access Manage storage and backup systems Administer and manage Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server & Active Directory Develop & maintain web applications (i.e., volunteer log, online surveys) Develop and maintain applications in Cold Fusion, Access, HTML, SQL & Visual Basic. Provide user support for database, productivity & web applications (including Blackbaud, AuctionPay, Mandarin Oasis, Microsoft Office, Edline and others) Troubleshoot and solve routine technical issues for school-supported resources Provide back up support for other I.T. staff as needed. Research & evaluate new technologies for potential to support school operations

Required Skills and Abilities:The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and patient. He/she will be a team player also cable of working independently, possess strong research and problem-solving skills, effective project management skills, knowledge of IT resources, and a commitment to staying abreast of developments in the field. Qualifications:Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience). Three years related experience in a Microsoft environment. Strong skills with Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, and relational database design. Prior experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Education Edge, Financial Edge and Crystal Reports. Experience developing applications in Visual Basic, Cold Fusion. Advanced knowledge of Excel including the development and use of macros. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:Fluency in French. Familiarity with Blackbaud products in an integrated environment. Experience in an end-user support role, particularly in an educational institution.
