North Cascades Stewardship Coordinator

The North Cascades Stewardship Coordinator will lead a new stewardship program for youth and adults focusing on public lands in the North Cascades ecosystem. This position will assist in the creation of a hands-on focused stewardship program that will partner with Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and North Cascades National Park. The program will work with both adults and youth. The adult program will recruit and train a core of adults that will participate year round in stewardship activities such as invasive weed removal, river clean-up and trail maintenance. The youth program has two parts - one is working with middle and high school youth on stewardship activities, the second is taking youth ages 5-15 on monthly field trips to sites and activities such as viewing goats on Mount Baker, bald eagles on the Skagit river and marine science at Port Townsend Marine Science Center.
