SUMMARY

Pyramid Communications is a full-service strategic consulting firm serving a range of clients, including nonprofit organizations, government agencies, Native American tribes, foundations and cause-oriented businesses. Pyramid is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager (PM) to manage a large foundation client with a focus on food systems and issues-based advocacy.

The SPM will play a major role in leading a complex, multifaceted project. He or she will be responsible for the strategic execution of elements ranging from policy communications and partnership development to content creation, technical communications assistance and new and traditional media implementation. The SPM will act as a primary point of contact for the client, key partners and contractors. He or she will maintain positive client relations while contributing expertise, strategy and content to all deliverables. The SPM manages projects with support from one or more Project Associates.

Required Skills and Abilities:JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -Drive the strategic execution of a large project for a foundation client -Contribute expertise, strategy and content to all deliverables -Build strong relationships with clients as a project leader -Manage project team -Oversee project budgets including profitability -Scan policy and program environments to identify and shape emergent opportunities for the client -Draft or supervise drafting of all client communications -Draft and finalize editorial and creative content as needed -Provide technical communications assistance to grantees -Supervise timeline creation, budget tracking and creation of monthly statements of work -Participate in marketing and business development activities as needed by writing proposals and portions of proposals, attending pitches and networking with existing clients and contacts -Contribute to the Strategic Services team to help continuously improve internal systems -Other management and job tasks as needed and assigned
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS Pyramid Communications seeks highly organized candidates who are confident communicators and strong writers with experience leading complex projects. The Senior Project Manager will have: -Minimum five years of project leadership and project management experience -Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills -Client relations expertise -A proven ability to manage multiple interests, clients and services -Ability to work on multiple deadlines -Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills -Ability to lead, collaborate and cooperate with internal teams -Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred, but not required: -Experience with foundations, food systems and issues-based advocacy efforts -A background in policy work -Technical communications assistance experience -A passion for social/new media -Agency experience -Bachelor’s degree in writing, English, journalism, communications or related field preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to sit at a desk for four or more hours per day, and frequently lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
