Hello, Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tara de Alicante, I am the newly crowned Miss Oregon Plus America. Northwest Plus America is a pageant system designed for curvy/plus size women. We believe in providing opportunity for the women of today as they are. I am honored to be representing the women of today of our beautiful state of Oregon. I am originally from beautiful Bend, OR, however I have been fortunate enough to be able to call Portland my home for the past 5 years! My platform is Celiac Disease Awareness, Promoting Detection, Treatment and Helpful Hints. I am working to get the word out about the number one auto immune disease in America. And help get more gluten free options available in restaurants and events for those who must live a gluten free life out of medical necessity. A large part of what I want to accomplish during my year as Miss Oregon Plus America is giving back to the community and state that has given me so much. I am contacting you because I would like to work closely with you to attend multiple volunteer opportunities in Portland/Multnomah County throughout my year.
