Position at Neighborhood House- Roosevelt HS SUN School Coordinator

Neighborhood House SUN Community School Site Coordinator, Roosevelt HS:  Full-time (1.0 FTE) with excellent benefits. Annual salary range: $29,006 - $35,533. 

Job Responsibilities:

The Roosevelt High School SUN School Coordinator, under supervision from NH Youth & Family Services Program Manager, is responsible for day-to-day operations of SUN School’s extended day activities and school’s social services referral & coordination systems.  The position works in close collaboration with school’s principals, SUN CS Partner agencies, school staff, and other NH SUN CS staff. 

Position is responsible for working with school staff to increase academic achievement of at-risk students within SUN CS guidelines.  Position is conduit linking Roosevelt youth & families, SUN partner agencies, and school staff to the SUN System’s referral resources.  Conducts community outreach and family involvement activities in conjunction with SUN CS Partners and RHS small schools.  Responsible for recruitment, hiring process, and supervision of after-school class instructors, volunteers, and tutors.  Coordinates summer academic enrichment program. 

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or related field;

* 4 years full-time experience in program management, especially in public school setting, in high school-aged youth or education programs;

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;

* Experience & ability to work effectively with multiple agency partners representing diverse constituencies in the community or school to deliver services to youth/families;

* Ability to work independently at school location, both as part of a team and to lead the team;

* Experience working with socio-economic and culturally diverse communities is a strong plus;

* Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by agency;

* Must pass criminal background check as condition of employment.
