Ride Connection is a private nonprofit providing transportation to older adults and people with disabilities living in the tri-county area. We are seeking a Travel Navigator to join our team.

The Travel Navigator is responsible for processing incoming customer referrals and ride requests from customers or their representatives via phone, e-mail or other agency personnel and determining the most appropriate transportation service(s) for the customer. Additional duties: Coordinates ride requests with other Ride Connection service partners. Performs follow up activities with customers to ensure expected level of service was offered and received. Passes pertinent information to appropriate staff, registers new customers, makes appropriate referrals to partner agencies, and communicates with service partners. Ensures that each person who requests Ride Connection service is treated with dignity, respect and patience. Performs ride assignment functions as backup for the Scheduler position and dispatch duties as required.

This position is “Safety Sensitive” per FTA guidelines. The employee assigned to this position must participate and remain in compliance with the FTA Drug and Alcohol testing program, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident testing.

Salary / Pay Rate:$12.46, $12.96 if preferred qualifications are met
Required Skills and Abilities:Required skills: familiarity with Microsoft programs, data entry experience, ability to read maps.
Qualifications:Preferred qualifications: - Ability to speak Russian or Vietnamese. - Experience working with older adults and people with disabilities. - Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to exercise good judgment, courtesy, and tact in public contact and handling problems. - Effective listening skills. - Ability to work independently on assigned tasks. - Ability to prioritize and organize tasks. - Effective problem-solving skills.
Education Required:High School or equiv.
