Portland Chamber Orchestra’s mission is “to provide an extraordinary musical experience through an imaginative fusion of the arts.”   Founded in 1946, PCO is a well-established ensemble of 30+ professional musicians, dedicated to playing a broad repertoire of orchestral classical music from Baroque to 21st century world premiers.  Under the artistic direction of Maestro Yaacov Bergman since 2001, the Orchestra’s annual season consists of at least three programs performed at Reed College’s Kaul Auditorium and other venues throughout the region.  Mr. Bergman has also introduced strong collaborations with other artists and media over the past 5 seasons, including film, dance, puppetry and commissioned paintings in some of the programming.
