I am holding an essay contest.  500-1000 words.  The question is

How population growth affects our lives in Portland and steps that can be taken to slow our human numbers.  

The winning essay will be chosen by a small group of population activists.

The prize is $100.

Essays can be submitted until August 15th and should be submitted by e-mail to [email protected]

There is no age requirement – children and young people are encouraged to enter.
