The Oregon League of Conservation Voters Education Fund is looking for motivated phone canvassers to help educate voters in the Portland and Bend areas about environmental issues as part of a program designed to increase their participation in voting for lower-ballot candidates in the 2008 election. No fundraising involved.

The position starts as soon as you are hired and lasts up to 4 weeks in duration. Because of the focus on direct voter contact, this job will take place between 5-9 pm, five days/week. Following completion of this project, there will be similar employment opportunities with OLCV-EF’s sister organization, the Oregon League of Conservation Voters.

Salary / Pay Rate:Pay starts at $12/hour with wage increases after completion of two weeks.
Qualifications:Qualifications include an outgoing, motivated personality, as you will be talking to the public every day. Prior phoning or canvassing experience or its equivalent is preferred, but we are open to motivated applicants who want to learn persuasion phoning skills. Applicants should be dedicated to our organizational goals; willing to learn new skills and ideas; willing to be self-motivated and self-critical; willing to work irregular hours.
