NOVAA (Northwest Oregon Volunteer Administrators Association) re: Meetings that work! 9/18

You're invited to join us next Thursday, September 18th at 12 noon for NOVAA's monthly meeting. The featured topic will be;

Meetings that work!

Whatever your frustrations might be around running meetings, this workshop will seek to address them. The strategies covered in this session will range from simple planning ideas so that everyone leaves the meeting feeling like it was time well spent; to handling those challenging moments when people are upset and interacting in such a way that more problems are being solved, rather resolving problems.

Speaker Patti Lind has been a faculty member at Marylhurst University and a communications consultant primarily in the Health Care arena for over 20 years. In addition to teaching courses and workshops on interpersonal communication, conflict resolution and leadership, she works closely with teams to develop their skills at working together and to improve their interactions with the people they serve.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral (unless otherwise indicated.)

* Arrival and lunch from 12 noon to 12:15pm; Lunch is not provided, but you may bring your own lunch.

* Educational presentation from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm * Networking from 1:15 pm to 1:30pm

We welcome guests to attend two meetings prior to making a decision about membership.

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is located at 147 NW 19th Ave. in Portland. There is a large parking lot across 19th from the cathedral, and a smaller one just south of the cathedral on 19th. To get to Kempton Hall: go through the main gate on 19th Avenue and follow the covered walkway. Turn left and go through the black doors. Once inside, turn left and you are in Kempton Hall.
