'Dos Pueblos' at Miracle Theatre Sept. 19-Oct. 4

‘DOS PUEBLOS’ • MILAGRO THEATRE • SEPT 19-OCT 4, 2008 Miracle Theatre Group kicks off its 25th Anniversary Season with the world premiere of “Dos Pueblos,” an international, bilingual collaboration with Hand2Mouth Theatre of Portland and La Comedia Humana of Mexico City, directed by Rubén Ortiz and Jonathan Walters.

ABOUT THE SHOW “Dos Pueblos” bounces between the land of sitcoms and las tierras de telenovelas, sweet sixteens and quinceañeras, Ronald McDonald and Pancho Villa. Over time, the stories of the overlapping cultural histories of Mexico and the U.S. have warped, forcing emotions deeper and wilder. Yet we remain connected as much as divided. In this cantankerous reflection of our relationships, we reveal our co-dependence, our brutal rage and our undeniable mutual attraction.

PERFORMANCES AND TICKETS “Dos Pueblos” plays Sept. 19-Oct. 4, 2008. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:00 p.m. Sundays at the Milagro Theatre (525 SE Stark St., Portland). Tickets are $20-$22 ($16 for students and seniors) from 503-236-7253, online via www.milagro.org or from the PDX Ticket Network box office at the Hollywood Theatre on N.E. Sandy Blvd. daily 1-9 p.m.
