Program Manager Opportunity with the Oregon Center for Nursing

The Oregon Center for Nursing is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to solve the nursing shortage in Oregon. We are looking for a Program Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our new “Nurturing Cultural Competence in Nursing” Program.

Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.

2. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including experience in program development, implementation and management.

3. Expert communication skills, including interpersonal, public speaking, writing, and computer skills.

4. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through.

5. Experience managing multiple priorities, working successfully under deadlines. 6. Experience with grant writing and program evaluation

7. Experience with community involvement and diversity initiatives.

8. Experience in collaboration and track record bringing diverse groups together.

9. Preferred experience working in a non-profit organization

10. Preferred: Current RN license in Oregon or eligible for RN licensure in Oregon.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Partner’s Investing in Nursing’s Future grant titled “Nurturing Cultural Competence in Nursing,” a two-year mini-granting program.

2. Coordinate, schedule and lead PIN meetings and communicate to all groups about and between meetings.

3. Develop RFP for grants and manage all aspects of the mini-grant program.

4. Liaison to diversity groups, schools of nursing, healthcare organizations, and workforce groups

5. Support and expand current resources by coordinating and collaborating with existing programs and agencies and developing new partnerships.

6. Serve as a resource for information, programs, and persons interested in nursing workforce diversity and cultural competence.

7. Measure and document program outcomes.

8. Prepare all grant report documents and present program results.

The Program Manager (PM) reports to the OCN Executive Director

This PM position is 3 days/wk. It is possible to combine this position with another at OCN to make a FT position.
