Central Portland Plan Community Survey

Central Portland Plan Community Survey is online until September 30, 2008

What will Central Portland be like in 30 years? The Central Portland Plan will help us make decisions that will guide us in the future. Please take a moment to fill out the Central Portland Plan Community Survey.

The online survey is open to comments until September 30, 2008.

The City of Portland Bureau of Planning recently launched the Central Portland Plan website at

http://www.portlandonline.com/portlandplan/index.cfm?c=47907

The new site allows visitors to access information about:

·        Topics related to the Central Portland Plan,

·        Coordinated efforts and projects,

·        Relevant documents from the resource library,

·        How to get involved, and

·        Other materials.

Portlanders are encouraged to take the Central Portland Plan Community Survey, which is on the new website, to help develop the plan over the next two years. The online survey allows responders to upload images they may think are relevant to Central Portland and the plan.

Nestled around the Willamette River , Central Portland features wonderful public spaces like Tom McCall Waterfront Park , Pioneer Courthouse Square , and Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade. It also embraces a diverse population, is the region's economic center, includes historic neighborhoods, OMSI, the streetcar and the tram, and offers housing and services for the homeless and the poor. The 1972 Downtown Plan and the 1988 Central City Plan provided the framework for the city as we know it today, but it's time to create a new plan that will reinforce and guide the growth and development of Central Portland through the next 30 years.
