Community Partnership Seeks Volunteer Tax Preparers!

Each year, millions of dollars in tax credits designated for low- to moderate- income residents go unclaimed.

CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) Oregon, in partnership with AARP Tax-Aide, works to get these credits back into the pockets of the families who need them and into the cash drawers of local businesses. CASH Oregon is currently seeking volunteer tax preparers for the up-coming tax season. Anyone can volunteer; no experience is necessary, but computer skills are a plus. Volunteer tax preparers will receive free training on state and federal tax returns, as well as instruction on filing returns electronically. CASH is also seeking greeters, mentors, interpreters, and childcare attendants. Openings are available throughout the tri-county area. Training for the tax season starts soon! To sign up or obtain additional information, please call Camille McDaniel at (503)-288-5528, or e-mail her at [email protected], or visit our website at www.cashoregon.org.
