JANUS YOUTH PROGRAMS, INC. has the following positions available. Janus is a nonprofit agency providing community-based services, including residential and shelter care, to youth referred by OYA and/or DHS, as well as homeless and street-dependent  youth. We operate facilities in Oregon and in SW Washington. Fiscal Assistant needed 20 hours per week to assist with fiscal operations (AP, AR, GL & Payroll).  One year related experience with proficiency in Excel, 10-key, and word processing is required.  Experience using accounting software is preferred. Human Resources Assistant needed 20 hours per week to provide technical support and clerical assistance.  Requires one year related experience and proficiency in word processing. Case Manager/Social Services Staff needed to oversee development and implementation of treatment plan and reporting at Buckman House.  The position insures on-site implementation of the services program and provides case management to individual clients.  Bachelor’s degree with major study in social work or a closely allied field and 2 years experience in the care and rehabilitation of youth OR a Master’s degree with major study in social work or closely allied field and 1 year experience in the care and rehab of youth is required.  Experience with case management, BRS standards, and working with Oregon Youth Authority are preferred but not required.  Personal transportation allowing for travel within the Portland metropolitan area in a timely manner is required.  Beginning salary is $2,123.33 per month; excellent benefits.  Submit cover letter and resume to John Weigel, c/o Janus Youth Programs, Inc., 707 NE Couch, Portland, OR 97232 or e-mail to him at [email protected]  

Relief Coordinator needed to coordinate and provide on-call coverage for Willamette BRIDGE Programs.  Facilities are staffed 24/7 so position requires flexibility in scheduling and availability for weekend, overnight and holiday shifts.  Prior experience working with adolescents is preferred. Residential Advocate needed at Street Light/Porch Light to work weekend overnights (13-hour shifts). Prior experience working with high-risk adolescents, particularly those who are street-dependent, is preferred. Position provides supervision of daily/nightly routines; interpretation and guidance regarding program agreements; and crisis intervention.  Salary is $10.25/hr plus eligibility for benefits. Overnight Skills Trainer needed at Imani House, a shelter providing evaluation and shelter services for boys, ages 12 to 18. The position is responsible for providing client supervision, assisting in evaluations, and maintaining a structured living environment. A Bachelor’s Degree in a social services or related field OR two years related experience is preferred. Beginning pay is $9.50/hour plus excellent benefits. Relief Workers to fill-in for regular staff who are on vacation, ill, attending trainings, or are otherwise unavailable. Currently there is specific need for relief workers at

v     Buckman House, a residential facility serving emotionally disturbed delinquent males, ages 17-25, who have successfully completed treatment at MacLaren and one of Oregon’s close custody juvenile correction work camps.
