Job Description:

The Employment Specialist provides support to adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness which results in competitive community employment.  Duties include: assessing client’s employment capabilities, targeting potential jobs, exploring job possibilities within the community, making job placements, providing training assistance as needed and offering continuing support as necessary. 

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a social services field or equivalent required. This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience assisting adults diagnosed with a severe mental illness or other disabilities to find employment. Experience working in the African American Community a plus.
