Free training for case managers, counselors, and social workers

Are you interested in free training, free CEUs, and a free meal? Do you work with clients who are pregnant or who may become pregnant? If so, this training is for you!

Understanding Infant Adoption is a nationally accredited training that is designed to help professionals working with pregnant women/teens (or women/teens who may become pregnant) discuss adoption as an option. This training provides education about, not advocacy for, the adoption option.

Topics include adoption law and practice in Oregon, special issues in counseling teens, birthfather rights and responsibilities, and non-directive, noncoercive counseling techniques. NASW-approved CEUs for social workers are available.

Training will be Tuesday October 21st from 8:30am-4:30pm at Boys & Girls Aid (018 SW Boundary Court, Portland, OR 97239). Upcoming trainings are available in half day, full day, computer-based, and self study formats. For more information, to register, or to inquire about future trainings, please contact Christine at 503-542-2343, [email protected] or visit www.iaatp.com.
