position summary:

The File Manager will work with the Friends of the Children-National team in Portland to develop and implement a plan for organizing and archiving historical program and development files. This is a temporary position for this project only. It is estimated to take 3-6 weeks part-time. Develop an effective filing and archival systems for program and development files. Document processes and procedures for filing and archival system. Assist with updating the donor database.

Salary / Pay Rate:$15/hr
Required Skills and Abilities:Strong organizational and time management skills; must be detail oriented, and enjoy organizing others. Must have good typing skills, and demonstrated ability to organize files and establish and maintain an effective filing system. Demonstrated ability to draft/produce accurate correspondence. Demonstrated ability to edit written materials accurately and consistently, including own work. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Must demonstrate excellent judgment, tact and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and to function successfully as a team player.
