position summary:

POSITION SUMMARY: Represents and promotes the District in developing financial and operational partnerships to accomplish program, financial, and capital development goals.

KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serves as the Districts liaison with potential development partners in furthering the District?s capital goals. 2. Identify and contact potential partners, negotiate, and manage relationships. 3. Develop and implement a partnership development plan to complete the Great Fields community-driven work effort. 4. Develop relationships with key regional partners. 5. Monitor and evaluate the progress of all developing partnerships in relation to the District?s goals. 6. Establish effective communication with potential partners. 7. Work with partners to produce demonstrable results. 8. Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive District presence in the region. 9. Participate in regular meetings with District staff, Board Members, and the partnerships to share information and discuss future activities. Raise the profile of any partnership and its work in collaboration with PPS Communications staff. 10. Coordinate with other District development efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelors degree. 2. Five years experience in development operations, governmental or public affairs. 3. Record of successful fundraising. 4. Proven effective writing, speaking and computer skills with demonstrated competency in making oral presentations 5. Collaborative leadership style coupled with strong interpersonal relationship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Masters degree. 2. Development operations/governmental or public affairs in the Portland and/or Oregon region.

Salary / Pay Rate:$69,417 - $90,125
