LOOK LISTEN REFLECT  at the 15th Annual Sitka Art Invitational: Conversations with Nature

Please join us on Friday, November 14th at the 15th Annual Sitka Art Invitational with your students for a free tour of an inspiring exhibit "Where Art Meets Ecology".  Celebrating 15 years of artistic exploration surrounding art and ecology, the 2008 Sitka Art invitational exhibit is filled with works by Northwest artists expressing what is happening in the environment around us.  Come view up to 500 pieces of art from 100 well-known and emerging regional artists and leave inspired by the variety, talent and abundance of spectacular art.

This is a great opportunity for art classes of all mediums and to integrate arts with environmental science curriculum.  Materials will be provided to further help make the connection between art and ecology.

This years show will by located at Miller Hall at the World Forestry Center on November 15 and 16.  You are invited for a special preview on November 14th, before the show opens to the public.  Tours will take approximately an hour and are limited to 25 students at a time.
