The Citizen Science Project Assistant will primarily work with the Pacific Education Institute and key outreach personnel at Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) to provide and facilitate outdoor environmental projects related to wildlife needs of WDFW scientists to graduating high school seniors. In addition, the Intern will analyze the current Bluebird Restoration project available in two school districts and plan how to make it available to other interested school districts. Finally, the Intern will work with the WDFW Nature Mapping Coordinator to support Nature Mapping centers statewide to provide training on Nature Mapping and to determine scientist sanctioned protocols for specific volunteer projects that address wildlife and habitat health.
