Positive Aging Conference

The Oregon Gerontological Association (OGA), in conjunction with Marylhurst University and Life by Design NW, will be the local 'telecast' host for the 2nd Annual National Conference on Positive Aging, to be held on Wednesday, November 12th from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm at Marylhurst University. The conference is entitled: 'Achieving Meaning and Purpose in the Second Half of Life".

The conference, actually taking place in Minneapolis, will be telecast live and broadcasted to Marylhurst, where discussion regarding the presentations will be facilitated locally by leaders in the field. Famous authors such as Richard Bolles (What Color is your Parachute), Richard Leider, author of Something to Live For, Harry Moody - Director of Academic Affairs for AARP and Dan Buettner, explorer and author of The Blue Zone will be featured.

The cost is $25 for all Attendees ($5 Student and Seniors) and includes Continental Breakfast and Lunch. Space is limited so register today!

In addition, a 'Books to Action' discussion will be held on the book The Blue Zone on Sunday, November 2nd from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the Hollywood Public Library in NE Portland. Contact [email protected] for more information.
