Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. Volunteer Opportunity

Every year Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. has an Annual Fall Clean Up. This event started because of an increase in illegal dumping in the area, especially into the creeks. Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. decided to address this issue by providing a recycling service to all southwest residents. We normally have approximately 700 cars come and drop off recyclable items like scrap metal, furniture, yard debris, appliances, mattresses etc. We partner with several businesses to ensure all the items are recycled properly and wastes are disposed of appropriately. We need lots of volunteers to help people unload the cars and keep the lines moving. We also send volunteers with trucks to senior's who can't drop off items themselves. So we especially need more volunteers with trucks who would be willing to pick up from a few homes. These volunteers will receive a $10.00 gas card. Even if you only want to pick up from one or two closely routed locations, anything helps!!!

When: Nov 1st from 9am-1pm. Where: Portland Christian Center Parking Lot

Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. is hosting this event for all SW residents.
