Male Mentors Needed (as well as women)!

The youth in our community, especially the boys need your help! Have you ever considered mentoring?  Do you know someone who would make a great mentor? Curious what it takes?

Mentor Portland serves Portland youth between the ages 8-14. Our unique program connects mentors and youth through planned activities. We focus on matching safe and caring adults over 21 with youth who are facing life’s greatest challenges; whether they have an incarcerated parent or are in foster care.  We are always in need of mentors (both male and female) but the need for men right now is strong.  Could you be that positive male influence our youth need? With your help, our youth can make smarter choices and build better futures.

Now is a great time to learn more.  In November, Mentor Portland will be matching a new group of mentors. On Monday, November 3rd (this is a date change from what is listed on our website-website is incorrect) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Mentor Portland will be holding an Info Session for you to learn about Mentor Portland.  The Info Session will take place at Boys and Girls Aid.  To find directions to our office, go to http://www.boysandgirlsaid.org/about_us/location.html.
