Latino Parent Educator II

Latino Parent Educator II, 20 Hours a week, Non Exempt. Hourly Range: $12.91- $ 15.49 /hr.

Summary: The Latino Parent Educator will promote and support the healthy growth and development of families with children ages birth through five years of age. Responsibilities include program planning, delivery of parent education services in Southwest and North Portland, group facilitation and supervision of child development activities and program development.

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social work, family studies or related field plus 2 years of classroom, home visiting or case management experience with families of children 0 to 5, or equivalent combination of education and experience or Associate’s degree in the above fields and 4 years of relevant experience. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English and have basic computer skills. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurable by the agency. Must pass a criminal background check.
