Volunteer with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Centers to transform lives!

Want to transform lives by helping bring high-quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary healthcare to the communities of Washington and Yamhill Counties? Come join the Virginia Garcia Volunteer Team! We are currently recruiting volunteers for several of our clinic locations. Here are some of the current opportunities:

FUN WITH KIDS- Volunteers needed to have fun with kids! Volunteers lead craft projects, color and read books to children in the waiting areas of our clinics. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to work at both our Cornelius and McMinnville Clinic. Volunteer shifts are as follows: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4-6pm Mondays and Wednesdays: 2-4pm Fridays (McMinnville only): 2-4pm We are looking for someone outgoing and friendly who can commit to 1 or more days per week for the next few months bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus. This is a great opportunity for friends or family members to participate in together. Let us know if you are interested!

DATA COLLECTION- Volunteer needed for 1 week at the Cornelius Clinic to do data collection. Are you a student who needs to complete community based learning hours this quarter? We need a volunteer to come in for one week, 2 hours per day to help us track data. The week can be chosen by the volunteer. Shift times are as follows: Tuesday and Thursday: 4-6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 2-4pm

CHART ABSTRACTION- Volunteers with medical experience and knowledge needed to help with chart abstraction at the Beaverton and McMinnville Clinics. Shifts are very flexible! Get great experience volunteering in a clinical setting and work with amazing people for a wonderful cause. We are looking for people who can commit to a few hours each week for a minimum of 3 months.

CHILDCARE- Volunteers needed to help with childcare for our Parents with Initiative Program. This is a parenting course for young Hispanic families. Volunteers are needed to play games, color and read to children while their parents attend the classes. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus! Classes take place the Cornelius Clinic conference room on Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10am- 12pm.
