PORTLAND – All professionals and community members interested in homeownership and neighborhood revitalization in the Lents Town Center Urban Renewal Area (LTCURA) are invited to the Lents Homeownership Initiative's (LHI) Quarterly General Meeting.  Topics include: Testimonials from Lents Homeowners, First-time Homebuyer Programs, and East Portland Action Plan.   This event will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Standard TV and Appliance, 5240 SE 82nd Ave in Portland.  Please RSVP by Nov 17 to (503) 788-8052 x105 or [email protected].  Lunch will be provided.  Event sponsored by LHI Partners: ROSE Community Development and Standard TV and Appliance.   The Lents Homeownership Initiative is comprised of more than 40 nonprofit, public and private sector organizations, and businesses working together to increase homeownership and improve the quality of life in the LTCURA.   ROSE Community Development is the organizer of LHI.  ROSE has provided affordable housing and other neighborhood improvements in outer southeast Portland since 1992.  ROSE gives families a secure place to build lives, raise children, and feel like part of the neighborhood.
