Oregon is turning 150 years old! Want to Celebrate?

Be part of the most monumental volunteer effort this state has ever seen!

Throughout the month of May, 2009, Oregonians will be coming out in droves for Take Care of Oregon Days –volunteer projects designed by YOU for your friends and neighbors (and vice-versa) to spiff up this place we all call home.

Get your corner of Oregon in on the fun by coordinating your own Take Care of Oregon Days project - hold a food drive; paint a mural; restore your favorite riparian zone.

Do whatever your community needs to be its Sesquicentennial best!

Oregon 150, SOLV, Oregon Volunteers!, and Rural Development Initiatives are here to help you in your efforts:

·       Get the training and support you need to plan your own volunteer activity at one of the 30 free Volunteer Action Trainings we’re offering around the state.

Find a session near you: http://www.solv.org/programs/volunteer_action_training.asp

·       Coordinate your own project and register your TCO event online.

Register online at http://www.solv.org/programs/forms/form_tco_app.asp

·       Sign up for one of hundreds of volunteer projects happening in May.
