position summary:

Bridges to Independence, a progressive non-profit agency serving adults with developmental disabilities, is seeking a creative and dedicated person to join our team.

This position involves medical advocacy, money management, skills building, recreational supports, vocational assistance, client transport, and more. This is not a caregiving position; it is a position that encourages people to reach their highest potential and complete tasks themselves. We need people with strong initiative and problem-solving skills as well as the confidence to make decisions and work independently.

Four-year college degree or equivalent in education and experience preferred. Must have own transportation, insurance, and acceptable driving record. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must pass criminal background check.

New employees required to obtain First Aid/CPR certification & TB test.

Position is part-time, up to 10 hours per week. Hours are flexible.

Location: SE PDX & Portland Metro Compensation: $10.50 an hour to start plus mileage, limited expense reimbursement, and paid leave.
