Naturally Beautiful Backyards Volunteer Training, January 22nd

Reminder:  The Naturally Beautiful Backyards Program at Columbia Springs will begin its 2009 volunteer training on January 22nd in Vancouver. Volunteers will learn about Earth-friendly gardening and landscaping techniques and share that knowledge with the people of Clark County, WA at community events over the course of the year.   Volunteer training topics include: organic vegetable gardening, use of native plants, healthy soil preparation and maintenance, composting, attracting beneficial species, chemical-free pest control, water conservation techniques, Earth-friendly lawn care, and more!Naturally Beautiful Backyards volunteer training sessions will take place on Thursday evenings, January 22 through March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
