The Housing Authority of Portland is accepting applications for a full-time Resident and Community Services Coordinators to work at a specified public housing complex. This is a limited term position with funding for two years.

The Resident and Community Services Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining resident relations and partnerships with community resources. Key functions of the position are to plan, coordinate and provide an array of social and educational services for residents to improve the stability, quality of community life, and wellness of individuals and families in low-income housing; to assess the needs of individuals and families in order to provide referrals to community service providers and partners; to create and implement resident initiatives designed to build leadership and promote inclusion in the development of a new community.

Salary / Pay Rate:$15.94 to $22.87 an hour or $33,155 to $47,579 annually and excellent benefits
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with people that were recently homeless and/or have no or very low incomes. Ideal candidates will have three years of increasingly responsible experience in social work or social services and a Bachelor’s degree in social work, child development or related field. Experience with issues related to alcohol and drugs, knowledge of fair housing and experience working with property management is helpful.
