Winter Warming Project - please help

Help us share home-made warmth this winter!

Winter has just begun, and we’ll be needing to bundle up for another couple of month.  If you knit or crochet, here is a local way to offer heart-to-heart, home-made help this winter.  Make a hat or scarf (or a few, or a bunch), and Living Earth will be sure your Hats & Scarves are distributed to children of all ages who need them in Portland.

Hats & Scarves Winter Warming Project

Knitted, crocheted, or cozy fleece warm-ies will be a wonderful, welcome surprises in emergency food baskets and assistance packages, for kids and families who might not be well-prepared for cold weather.

Drop finished new items at Seven Corners New Seasons Market at SE 19/Division during January.

We request only new items for this program. You can also bring your finished items, or works-in-progress, to our First Friday Community Potluck on February 6, 6.30-9 pm at Friends Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark. Foods for Oregon Food Bank are also welcome!

Don’t knit or crochet, but want to help? Call 503.788.7311or post info@ livingearthgatherings.org for more information.

Please feel free to forward this post to needle-working friends and relatives, and knitting shops. For more details, see www.LivingEarthGatherings.org. The more warm items we get, the happier and cozier people will be this winter!
