Description: No one needs to be rich to eat organic foods, or a gourmet chef to cook and enjoy good food. In this workshop we'll walk through creating spontaneous, delicious, and affordable meals at home while stretching the resources you have to work with. We'll discuss techniques on how to shop on a budget, how to spread your purchases between paychecks, and how to enjoy delicious, organic meals using limited resources. Knowing key staple ingredients to always have in your kitchen and the benefits of bulk and seasonal shopping will help you to get the best value and taste for your dollar.

This is not a cooking class for becoming a fancy chef or following a specific recipe. Our focus is on working creatively within a limited budget and breaking the myth that co-ops and organic foods are out of your price range.

You can cook! You can afford to love food, buy organic, and shop cooperatively!
