Volunteer Nature Guides Needed at Tryon Creek

Please consider joining the Friends of Tryon Creek State Park and becoming a Nature Guide Volunteer.  This is an exciting opportunity to teach small groups of children about nature while guiding the groups through the forest.  Free training is provided and topics include: Sensational Senses, Watershed & Healthy Streams, Ethnobotany, Adaptable Animals, Invasive Species, and Forest Highs & Lows.

We ask that you commit 4-8 hours a month during the fall & spring.  Training starts January 27th and there are afternoon & evening times available.  There will be trainings offered again in the future as well.

Please contact Linda Koser at 503-636-4398 or email [email protected] to get started!
