Background Over the last 50 years, the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation has grown into a leading statewide non-profit organization dedicated to providing life changing sight and hearing assistance in partnership with 188 Lions Clubs. With 12 programs, including our Mobile Health Screening Program, funding assistance for vision or hearing saving surgeries, used eyeglass recycling, hearing aid assistance and more, our organization is faced with many opportunities and challenges. Position Summary The Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation seeks a dynamic, self-directed, flexible and supportive Executive Director with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management or a related field or equivalent work experience that has the ability to grow the foundation. At least five years in nonprofit management at an executive level to include at least two years of supervision, or equivalent. Extensive experience in successfully communicating to diverse audiences including: management, Boards, service clubs and other external audiences. Proven record in fund-raising and event planning. Working knowledge of nonprofit finance and legal requirements. Working knowledge of personnel laws and requirements. Some statewide travel required.

Key Qualities This is a position that requires a wide range of skills, with the following experience and characteristics: • Successful leadership experience working with and leading a non-profit organization. • Strong financial planning and management • Experience with direct service organizations and organizational networking • Demonstrated and measurable success in resource development and marketing • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning in both the short and long term • A passion for service to people in need • A strong advocate for the organization and the people it serves • An ability to motivate and inspire diverse stakeholders • Great written and oral communication skills • Ability to lead and work hand in hand with an effective Board of Directors

Salary / Pay Rate:Starting Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 with benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and retirement.
