would love a wee bit of help setting up

As Washington DC prepares for the big day ....

I'd love a few folks to help set up the space for our inaugural celebration.

If you have some time late Tuesday afternoon or Early Tuesday evening, around 6, to help me set up the space for the evening, I would really appreciate the support!

Come watch the inauguration on the big screen!!!

Come in merriment.

Come in reverence.

All and both are fully welcome!

Here's the plan. Although the actual 'swearing in' and such happens in the morning we will be celebrating the event in the evening with music, toast of many sorts and a larger than life re-broadcasting of the legacy in the making. (oh yes, on the new super huge screen ... thanks to felix & Jen!)

So... what does this entail? you might ask.

Susan Johnson suggested that people get out of their sofa clothes and come dressed to celebrate the occasion. You might come in a jester hat sharing the wisdom of the fool. (Oh yes, in Shakespearian times it was the fool who could tell the King the truth and live to tell the day!) It might be in full tux & tails to speak to the importance of this momentous occasion. For me, at this moment, I'm thinking of my sexy, power boots that make me almost 6 feet tall! Whatever, and however ... don't stress ... no costumes necessary just allow yourself to dress for the occasion.

And, if you'd like to bring a poem or such ... of ribaldry for the occasion or reverence for the transition ... please do! We will have a 'tree of life' for all to be seen and read. And, by the way, if anyone has any great clips from Saturday night live with Tina Fey or some of the political satire from previous elections, it will be great pre-show entertainment. (It just needs to be on a DVD or VCR so we can play it on the big screen! And, oh yes... there will be kids so, just keep that in mind)

WheN: January 20th 7:15-9 pm

We'll show the inaugural address on the big screen at 8:15!

Where: The Core Source Cottage 4821 NE 14th Ave (It's at the end of Wygant so make sure you are not on 14th Place).

OUT OF RESPECT FOR MY NEIGHBOR, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE WHITE AND BLACK HOUSE NEXT STORE.

YOU'LL SEE THE COTTAGE AT THE END OF THE GARAGE.

And oh yes, if you could bring a snack to share , or libations to toast the day, that would be awesome!!!

See you then.

Carolyn ... (and) ... Susan ... (and) .. all of those who want to celebrate in a myriad of ways!
